As parents, and physicians, our providers understand the delicate nature of your family’s diet, and the immense role food plays in a developing child’s life. We want to reinstill the confidence, fun, and excitement of food and a healthy, growing diet back into your family’s routine. 

Having treated hundreds of patients ranging in age and different levels of food hypersensitivity, our physicians understand the transformative impact of sharing food with others, enjoying meals without caution, and gaining the nutritional value to maintain a healthy lifestyle. We have created an innovative program of skin prick testing, food challenges, early food introduction, and oral immunotherapy to transform previous food threats and fears into confidence and security. 

Our research-based practices are catered to each individual patient’s needs. Rather than taking you through the list of exhaustive options you’ve already tried, we pinpoint the underlying immunological causes of the symptoms and create a long-term plan using our unique oral immunotherapy protocol. Our research institute is rooted in cutting-edge solutions that are based on the thousands of patients we have had the privilege of caring for.

Founder

Dr. Manoukian has been in practice as an Allergy and Immunology specialist since 2013. He received a dual Bachelor in Arts Degree (B.A.) in Biology and Economics from the University of Southern California (USC), a Medical Degree from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), completed a residency in Internal Medicine from Kaiser Los Angeles (a UCLA affiliated hospital), and fellowship in Allergy/Immunology from UCI.

His dedication to Allergy and Immunology goes far beyond patient care. Along with being an Associate Professor of Allergy & Immunology at UC Irvine, he has also continued his research interests which include but are not limited to Asthma, Food & Drug Allergies, and Contact Dermatitis. His academic achievements include publications and presentations at major conferences or seminars. These experiences have allowed him to stay invested and updated on the most cutting-edge research involving food allergy clinical findings, testing, and treatments. Alongside founding the Los Angeles Food & Allergy Institute, Dr. Manoukian is also the founder of AllergyDox and HeyAllergy, both platforms to expand access to comprehensive allergy care. As a parent himself, Dr. Manoukian has understood and empathized with the serious concerns food allergies bring for every parent. He’s actively worked to create a rigorous program that would identify the specific allergen while curating a treatment plan that works for the patient and family. Dr. Manoukian hopes to bring these solutions into the lives of more families through the LA Food & Allergy Institute.
